Message from UTC Sheffield City Centre

We have increased student online learning using Teams as the predominant method of delivery. This may be supplemented with face to face delivery on site in the coming weeks, for those students who require additional support. All students have been sent information on how to download and set up Teams. Should any student have difficulties with this, please contact admin@utcsheffield.org.uk and we will address your query as soon as possible. Therefore, our offer of face to face teaching, in line with government advice is that we will invite key worker/vulnerable/students who cannot access online delivery.

Please see the Letters page and the Covid-19 Update page for more information.

In these unprecedented times, we are sorry that we are unable to run the parents evening on 15 July 2020.  If you have any pressing concerns, please contact admin@utcsheffield.org.uk

Madison, Creative & Digital

Joining the UTC is the best decision that I’ve ever made! I’ve really enjoyed developing creative and digital technical skills, the employer projects and being able to take complementary A Level subjects alongside.

UTC Sheffield student Madison Fearn is celebrating a successful set of academic and technical exam results.

The 18-year-old has just completed a technical qualification in creative and digital at UTC Sheffield City Centre campus, on Matilda Street.

Madison has also studied three A Levels and achieved a grade A in creative writing, a grade B in English Literature and a grade C in art.

She also gained a distinction* for her technical qualification in creative and digital.

Now she is going onto study a Degree in Film and English at the University of Warwick. Madison said: “I’m really happy and excited to be going on to my first choice of university.”

She added: “Joining the UTC is the best decision that I’ve ever made! I’ve really enjoyed developing creative and digital technical skills, the employer projects and being able to take complementary A Level subjects alongside.”

“It’s also been great to meet new people; everyone is so into their subjects that there is a good atmosphere and it’s easy to get along with the other students.”
