UTC Staff Governor, Steve Schofield

Hello, my name is Steve Schofield and I teach A-level and GCSE English here at UTC Sheffield.  I have been teaching for 19 years, the last 10 in the 16-19 sector.  I moderate A-level English Language for one of the main exam boards, this year will be my 7th year on the team.  A UTC would have been my choice at 14, I left school and attended a technical college and became a qualified motor vehicle technician and remained in the profession until my early 20s.  Moving into teaching was something I had always considered, and I genuinely enjoy my job. I became the Staff Governor because I want to be as involved as I can in the journey for this fantastic College, and I also understand the importance of communication across all parts of college life.

Parent Governor, Simon Jackson

Parent Governor, Lisa Rawlins

Hello, my name is Lisa Rawlin and I am one of the parent governors.  I am very proud to be part of the UTC family. I look forward to working in partnership with the teachers, parents and pupils to try and ensure the UTC delivers an excellent education for our aspiring young people. I have two children accessing education at UTC and they are enjoying their education and the style of hands-on learning they are experiencing.  I work at present within a learning community of schools in Rotherham and hope I can share my knowledge and experience to the benefit of all.
